Narrative: SPRUCE MESSAGE VISIT Date: 2026-02-16 CC: Diaper rash, possible yeast infection HPI: Elsie developed a significant diaper rash, believed to be related to recent travel. The rash had been present since at least the prior Friday and had slightly improved by the time of messaging. Mother reported Elsie was not in pain or visibly bothered. Parent was using barrier cream and air exposure as initial management and suspected a yeast component. Encounter: Dr. Hobbs recommended a compounded topical mixture of equal parts Balmex, Aquaphor, and Lamisil applied liberally with each diaper change. Advised that if no improvement within 2-3 days, a prescription-strength cream should be considered. Follow-up was planned for Friday. By 2026-02-17, parent reported the rash was already improving with the new regimen. Key clinical quotes: "Elsie has a pretty bad diaper rash we were traveling and think that caused it." "My favorite mix is a barrier like Balmex mixed with aquaphor and Lamisil. Mix equal parts of each. Then use liberally." "Her diaper rash is already a bit better. We are doing the lamisil combo with every diaper change."
