Phone Visit
Narrative: SPRUCE MESSAGE VISIT Date: 2025-11-15 Encounter: Spruce text message CC: 3-year-old ingested a small Lego piece. HPI: Beau, approximately 3 years old, swallowed a small piece of a Lego. The parent asked Beau to show the size of the piece and he indicated it was smaller than one reference piece shown. Beau was described as doing well with no reported choking, respiratory distress, or pain at the time of the message. Assessment: Dr. Hobbs assessed the ingestion as very unlikely to be worrisome given the small size of the piece and the child's well appearance, noting that foreign body ingestion of small objects happens frequently in this age group. Plan: No visit needed. Parent advised to monitor child and check stools over the next couple of days to confirm passage of the object. Key clinical quotes: "Great. Super not worrisome." "Happens actually all the time" Source: Spruce conversation t_2GPR3H3CA4G00
