Narrative: SPRUCE MESSAGE VISIT Date: 2024-04-24 Encounter: Spruce text message CC: Recurring facial/skin swelling over several days, parent questioning if this is seasonal allergies. HPI: Hendricks, age approximately 4, had experienced recurrent episodes of swelling over the past week or so. Benadryl had been given and provided partial relief. The swelling had persisted for 3 straight days at the time of messaging. He had not ingested any known allergens. The swelling was not painful or bothersome to him. Assessment: Likely spring seasonal allergies given the timing and presentation without a known allergen trigger. Plan: Start Zyrtec syrup 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) daily.
