Narrative: SPRUCE MESSAGE VISIT Date: 2025-03-20 Encounter: Spruce text message CC: Known peanut-allergic child had a bite of a granola bar containing nuts with mild reaction. HPI: Malcolm, age approximately 4, with known peanut allergy ingested a bite of a granola bar containing nuts. He began spitting up but did not vomit. His face became slightly red. Parents rinsed his mouth out and gave Benadryl. Message sent late evening; Dr. Hobbs followed up the next morning. Assessment: Mild allergic reaction to nut exposure; managed appropriately at home with Benadryl and oral rinsing. Fully resolved by morning follow-up with child acting normally.
