Phone Visit
Narrative: SPRUCE MESSAGE VISIT Date: 2025-07-18 Encounter: Phone call via Spruce CC: Parent requesting medication change after Strattera (atomoxetine) was stopped due to lack of efficacy and difficulty swallowing capsules. HPI: Miles had been on Strattera (atomoxetine) but the medication was discontinued by the family because it did not appear to be helping and Miles found the capsule difficult to swallow. The parent requested an urgent medication change and expressed need to restart something as soon as possible. A virtual visit was scheduled for 2025-07-23 and a phone call took place that day. Assessment: Strattera was ineffective and not tolerated by the patient. A medication change was warranted. Based on subsequent messages, guanfacine was restarted. Plan: Phone call conducted on 2025-07-23. Following the call, guanfacine was restarted at 1mg twice daily.
