Narrative: SPRUCE MESSAGE VISIT Date: 2026-03-08 CC: Vaccine prioritization discussion for 7-month-old behind on immunization schedule HPI: Daisy is a 7-month-old who has received only her first doses of Hib, DTaP, polio, and rotavirus. She has not yet received her first dose of pneumococcal (PCV) vaccine. The family missed a scheduled vaccine visit over Christmas due to the household having influenza A. Parent is planning to give only one vaccine at the upcoming visit and is asking which is most important to prioritize. Encounter: Dr. Hobbs advised that the second dose of either pneumococcal (PCV) or DTaP should be prioritized at the upcoming visit. He noted that both Hib and PCV have an upper age limit of 24 months for the series. Parent plans to return in approximately 1.5 months for the next vaccine. Dr. Hobbs will select which vaccine to administer at the 3/9 appointment. Insurance card and father's identifying information were also collected in preparation for the visit.
